Biologen

Biologen is a historic building from 1922 which is now a modern hotel in beautiful surroundings at Herdla, 45 minutes from Bergen.

Biologen originally served as a marine biology research station and can boast international scientists and royals among its former visitors. The building now serves as a modern hotel with culinary experiences created using local ingredients, an extensive wine list, peace and tranquillity, and fantastic accommodation.

The hotel restaurant has a modern kitchen with staff who put their heart and soul into creating genuine culinary experiences based on local seasonal ingredients. The restaurant enjoys serving seasonal local fish and shellfish, as well as dishes made from the cattle that graze on Herdla. The chefs skilfully compose traditional and modern dishes alike, often taking inspiration from dishes from around the world.
