Lothes Mat & Vinhus in Haugesund boasts what may be the townʼs most central location by the Smedasundet sound, as well as what we ourselves consider to be the townʼs best cuisine. 

The building in which the restaurant is housed, dates from 1850. In restoring the building, importance was attached to retaining its original style both externally and internally. The result is a building with an authentic atmosphere, full of charm - and its own ghost! 

Lothes Mat & Vinhus has maintained a high gastronomic profile here since 1989. The chefs use first-class local ingredients from the ʻsea to the westʼ (fish and shellfish) and meat from local suppliers.
