350 years of history - from being Norway's most important border fortress it is now one of the country's most spectacular cultural arenas. The fortress is a popular area for hiking, exploring and learning more about Norwegian history.
Every day during summer, between June 1 - August 31, you can experience the different and exicting exhibitions in the fortress museums. Here you will find exhibitions about fortress,town and war history, and even Norway's oldest bakery and brewery!
