A small, intimate design hotel
At Energihotellet, the architecture creates the perfect frame for a spectacular meeting with nature. The hotel is a family runned design hotel situated in Nesflaten in the southern part of Fjord Norway, along the inner route between Stavanger and Bergen, right in between Trolltunga and the Pulpit Rock.
The hotel was designed in the sixties by the renowned architect Geir Grung, and was built in connection to Norsk Hydro's power station, Røldal-Suldal kraft. The architectural work consists of housing estate, power station and the building which today is Energihotellet. The strong concrete brutalism breaks with what you would expect to find in a small village in Western Norway. All of the rooms are furnished in a minimalistic style, complimenting the unique architecture. The hotel's aim is to make the view of lake Suldalsvatnet the main feature in every room.
Here you will experience Norwegian design and architecture, grand landscapes, dinners made of local produce, unique activities and personal service. A warm welcome to Suldal and Energihotellet!
