One of the delights of staying at Støtt Old Trading Post is dining at Restaurant Gammelbutikken, a venue that is testimony to a colourful history and a unique coastal culture. Our chef and staff take pride in serving dishes prepared with the freshest fish from nearby waters and the finest locally sourced ingredients.
We offer accommodation in the lovingly restored Støtt Old Trading Post. You will hear fascinating stories from its heyday and gain insights into Northern Norway’s still-thriving coastal culture. Renting a kayak and heading out on your own requires an NPF Wet Card (Våtkort) or a comparable certificate of kayaking competency. If you don’t have one, we offer guided kayak excursions for NOK 1200 per person, per day. (We also offer kayaking courses that qualify you for an NPF Wet Card.)
